The Archetypal Garage publishes the sharing stream of Richard Reeve.

Consider the AG as a curated gallery of web content.  Each day, 5 to 8 posts are shared on Jungian psychology, myth, ritual, and other imaginal experiences.  Each of these posts are picked from hundreds that pass through through my rss reader and the various content streams I monitor.  I’ve dedicated this self-hosted website to this activity as a commitment to the open web.  Over the past 5 years I’ve watched major corporations create huge silo’s of information that are driven by user sharing habits.  I’m not convinced that the current systems honor the value of the content or the currency of sharing in the appropriate manner.  While I participate in the silos, I felt compelled to allow my sharing stream to stand on its own.

I’ve taken this stance having learned from a master, Dave Winer. While I do not have the coding where-with-all to implement many of the moves Mr. Winer proposes, I feel strongly that the sharing I do should not be turned over to corporate interests.   I’m not anticipating gobs of traffic, but I am hoping that this act will have a small ripple effect and further the teaching that the individual can and should rightfully carve out his or her own space on the web.
