The Guardian at the Water’s Edge

This picture was taken on my phone this past week while it was raining. At first I walked right past hardly paying attention to the hushed inner voice which said to me, “Check out that snake.” Before I realized what I was doing I had already turned around, whipped out my phone and began fumbling for the camera setting.

Lying there on a large puddle on the sidewalk like a guardian at the gate lies a broken necklace that dropped off of one of the people in Brooklyn, NY. As symbol it is as if it awaits the next seeker who wishes entrance to land beyond. Thankfully, I was allowed to enter. Continue reading
